ANTIQUE THEATRE HOTEL

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  1. What is the difference between a standard and superior room?
The major difference between a standard and superior room is the ocean view which is restricted in the case of standard rooms. The two suites have the best view and complete privacy with private terraces and no adjoining neighbours. All rooms have either one standard size double or 2 twin (single) beds with the exception of the Cariende Suite with a queen size bed.
  2. What is the distance to the beach?
The nearest beach is approximately 2.5 km away and is therefore beyond walking distance.
  3. How far away is the town center?
One of our hotel's main attractions is the fact that it is just a short walk (10-15 minutes) from the town center and night life, yet far enough away from the crowds.

A taxi ride takes only a few minutes.Taxis are easily available 24 hours a day. All major car rental services are also available in Bodrum.

  4. How far away is the airport?
The Bodrum/Milas airport is 40 km. away from our hotel
  5. Do you provide airport transfers?
In order to arrange pickup from the airport, we need to know the arrival time and number of people travelling. We can provide you airport transfer which costs € 55 one way or € 100 return between 8 am and 10 pm. There is a surcharge of 20% for service from 10 pm to 8 am.

These rates are per vehicle (not per person) and valid for 1 to 3 passengers. Transfers can be arranged for groups of 4 or more as well. Please inquire about the rates.

  6. Can you give us driving directions?
The hotel is on the main road coming from the airport transiting Bodrum, and across from the antique theatre.

Arrival into Bodrum will be sign posted after you go down hill for a short while and where you reach the traffic lights. Carry on straight at each of the two traffic lights where you will see several signs suggesting a left turn to the city center(centrum). Now that you continue straight, you will cross one more traffic light before you go past the antique theatre on your right hand side. The hotel is on the other side of this main road, continue further until the round about, make a complete U turn, and drive straight until you are almost but not quite across from the antique theatre, where there is free parking space in front of the gate, and where you will see several flags.

  7. My family and I would like to take day trips to Ephesus, Rhodes/Cos Greece. Please inform me of any pertinent information. Can you make arrangements for these day trips for us?
Private land tours are customized according to requests and rates are determined based on the package. Land tours are provided by chauffeur driven air conditioned vehicle to archeological sites (Ephesus, Virgin Mary's house, Priena, Miletus, Didyma etc).

There is daily ferry service to Cos departing at 9 a.m. and returning at 4:30 p.m. Return trip costs about USD 30 per person. Daily hydrofoil service to Rhodes is available from Marmaris.

There is an organized bus tour to Ephesus every Wednesday departing at 7 a.m. Return is approximately at 8 p.m. The cost is USD 35 per passenger. If you care to rent a car and drive yourself , base rate for a Hyundai Accent with A/C is approximately USD 60, to which insurance and taxes need to be added. We will gladly make the bookings you require. The distance to Ephesus is 180 km (about 100 miles).

Please note that the above information is subject to change and guests should double check all schedules and prices before making arrangements.

  8. What is the distance to Antalya and Pamukkale from Bodrum?
Distances to Pamukkale and Antalya are 350 and about 500 km respectively which is too far for day trips to those destinations. Bodrum will serve as a point of entry into the Pamukkale region within which you may also visit Aphrodisias which is a major archaeological site. You may want to plan your trip to Pamukkale without coming back to Bodrum. To plan further your stay in Turkey, we would recommend "Turkey" a guide book by Open Road Publications.
